Overview

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Kerala, recruits Guest Lecturers / Demonstrators / Trade Instructors on an hourly/daily remuneration basis to meet academic requirements in Government Polytechnic Colleges across the state.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Qualifications for guest faculty appointments strictly adhere to AICTE and State Board of Technical Education norms:

  • Lecturer in Engineering: First Class Bachelor's Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology (B.Tech / B.E).
  • Lecturer in Non-Engineering: First Class Master’s Degree in Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / English with UGC NET/SET qualification.
  • Demonstrator / Trade Instructor: First Class Diploma in the appropriate branch of Engineering or National Trade Certificate (NTC) / National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).

Selection Process

Selection is conducted through district/zonal interviews by an expert committee constituted by the Senior Joint Director (DTE Kozhikode / Regional Directorate). Rank lists are published annually on the DTE Kerala portal.
